School fundraiser quilts
So here are my latest completed quilts. They were for a school fundraiser for the preschool classes. Each child decorated an 8 inch block with felt pieces and pom poms. I zig-zagged the felt decorations, and hand quilted the tops after I put them together. I guess everyone really like them. They were auctioned off for more than 800 bucks.
Hopefully this will inspire me to get my other squares made into tops and my tops made into quilts. We will see. My thoughts are that I am going to move one of my treadles outside for the summer and get my tops together while enjoying the sun. I am trying to come up with an easy way to get the machine out there and keep it from becoming destroyed. I think I should be able to do it easily off the side of my sewing room, there is a door and a pretty small porch, so maybe that is the solution.

Great idea to move the treadle outside to sew. Nice natural light. Stitch up a cover for it, kinda like a grill cover, so you don't have to wheel it in and out all the time.
love all your posts...but loved the quilts too!!!!
