dog training session 1

Well, we finally found a dog trainer who seems to mesh well with our family and the infamous pooches, Sally and Buttercup. Last night we spent the better part of 2 hours learning and working with the pups and the kids. It was fabulous. Right here at home in an environment that was respectful of dogs, children, and adults. that was really key to finding someone to help us out. We have been successful at some small things, but none of us have had prior pup experience, so we all needed to be taught. The canine girls responded to our trainer, Cari, really well. It seemed that within moments of her arrival she had them nearly performing. She also brought along her son and his cutest tiniest little mop of a dog, Jemima. We were told by Gia several times last night that when she is 6 she needs a small dog like Jemima. So, we will see about that. As for right now, we learned several pretty straight forward commands and how to effectively teach them to our pups. We have put our new skills to the test both last night and this morning and everything seems to be working as it should. Hopefully everyone remains enthusiastic! Cheers, and pics for all to see later!
