Gianina's bed
Gearing up for 4th of July!
I have been getting ready for the 4th of July! I got this wicker chair and table off craigslist for $20 and repainted it and sewed up some cushions and pillows and a little table runner. Trying to get my squares into a top and quilt for my porch swing, squares are from last years patriotic square swap at MJF. Hope you all have a great celebration!
I cannot wait for my new porch to be put on in 5 weeks, look how bad this one has gotten...yikes!
I made some washcloths
I have struggled for years trying to crochet, my friend Bonne has been giving me pointers and encouraging me with several dishcloths that she has crafted. So, I made 3. They are square, the stitches are fairly even, I like them, but the next ones I make will need to be 1/2 the size, these turned out more the size of placemats.

Doll Clothes Swap at MJF
Carmen and I are in a swap at MJF...you make 6 outfits each that fit 18" dolls. We are way behind and using this week to get caught up. Anyhow, this one was Carmen's and she sent it to Sheila C in Ohio for her daughters 8th birthday. The rest are in progress and should be sent to Linda in PA for the swap this week.

Visitors....
We had a good visit with John's parents this weekend, the kids were sad to see them go. We packed a lot into a small weekend. We had a lot of fun, and the kids enjoyed their music lessons with Nona. We took them to Sarah's for Nora's 3rd birthday, had an outdoor picnic dinner, and lots of time to chat. Gianina loves her Papa, and cried once when she thought he had left. All in all, everyone had a great time. The twinnies got 3 new dresses and some crayons and coloring books for their birthdays adn a good time was had by all.

Today I bought a quilt
I bought this quilt today...it is full size, needs a few minor minor repairs...I just love it. It has hand embroidery, machine applique, machine and hand quilting. I bought it from a woman who says her great grandmother made it, and she knows it is at least 40 yrs old. I think it is older. It always amazes me when people sell their family handmade stuff.
